The Governments of Fiji and Australia have taken a significant step in enhancing regional collaboration with the groundbreaking ceremony of a new facility for the Pacific Community (SPC) held on Friday. The new complex, expected to be completed by 2026, aims to improve the delivery of essential development services across the Pacific, addressing vital issues such as climate change, disaster resilience, food security, and public health.
Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka underscored the importance of SPC’s evolution since its inception in 1947, highlighting Fiji’s continued commitment to the organization as both a member and the host country.
