Patrick Bower, the president of the Fiji Primary Schools Athletics Association, expressed his commitment to addressing the concerns raised by participating districts during the recently concluded 2024 Tuckers Ice-Cream Fiji Primary Schools Athletics Championships at the HFC Bank Stadium.
Bower noted the importance of responding to valid complaints and emphasized the need for continuous improvement. He mentioned that the organization reviewed the competition program overnight to ensure that no athlete was overlooked and to enhance the overall experience for everyone involved. Bower highlighted that the approach taken during this event is crucial as it establishes a foundation for future competitions and athlete development.
In terms of competitive outcomes, Suva One emerged victorious in the boys’ division, securing a total of 27 medals—12 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze. Nadi triumphed in the girls’ category with a remarkable tally of 34 medals, including 18 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze.

By prioritizing their development and experience, the association is setting a promising tone for the future of athletics in Fiji.
