Fiji Airways has appointed Captain Etika Tuisue as its new Chief Pilot and Flight Operations Officer, effective August 1, 2025. Captain Tuisue, who joined the airline in 2004, has amassed over two decades of aviation experience, holding senior roles such as Fleet Manager, Deputy Chief Pilot, and Manager of Flight Operations Training.

In his new role, Captain Tuisue will oversee all pilot operations for Fiji Airways’ growing international network, focusing on flight safety, crew performance, and enhancing operational procedures. He will also be a key member of the airline’s Executive Leadership Team, involved in strategizing fleet growth, pilot development, and operational efficiency.

Managing Director and CEO Andre Viljoen praised Captain Tuisue’s appointment, highlighting his extensive knowledge of flight operations and passion for mentoring future aviators. “His promotion demonstrates our commitment to recognizing and promoting exceptional Fijian talent within senior leadership roles,” said Viljoen.
