Fiji Airways has officially launched its new route from Nadi International Airport to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), anticipating an influx of around 1,000 passengers weekly. This addition enhances the airline’s network to include 26 international destinations, facilitating greater connectivity for travelers between the United States and the South Pacific.

During the inaugural flight, Fiji Airways’ CEO, Andre Viljoen, highlighted the strategic importance of this new route in increasing access for American tourists to Fiji. He emphasized that the service not only supports tourism but also opens doors for business partnerships between both nations. The Dallas Fort Worth airport is particularly significant, serving as a major global hub with connections to over 250 cities.

DFW CEO Sean Donohue expressed enthusiasm about this new addition to their international offerings, which will provide North Texas with non-stop access to the scenic islands of Fiji. The inaugural flight, which took 13 hours, landed successfully at DFW yesterday morning, while the first flight from Dallas to Nadi is scheduled for December 10.

In conjunction with the route launch, Fiji Airways introduced a new sustainability initiative by partnering with Samsonite and Formia to create new amenity kits for Business Class travelers on long-haul flights.

This new service not only enhances travel options but also reinforces Fiji’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in air travel. As more travelers look for unique destinations, Fiji Airways is well-positioned to welcome visitors to its beautiful islands and support the growth of its tourism industry.

Overall, the expansion of Fiji Airways into the Dallas market brings the promise of increased tourism, economic collaboration, and a positive environmental impact through sustainable initiatives.
