Shaenaz Voss, the former executive general of Corporate Affairs at Fiji Airways, and Sharun Ali, the airline’s general manager for Safety, Security, and Quality, were questioned by the police at the Nadi Police Station yesterday. They arrived with their lawyers around midday and were interviewed by officers from the Suva-based Criminal Investigation Department.
The two individuals were seen leaving the police station after 5 PM. Acting Commissioner of Police Crime, Mesake Waqa, confirmed that both were interviewed under caution and subsequently released. Waqa stated that the questioning was related to a breach of the Civil Aviation Security Regulation that occurred in 2018. The investigation is ongoing.
