Fiji Airways and the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding this week, establishing discounted airfares for FHTA members attending international trade and tourism events.
This renewed partnership, which will remain in effect until December 2025, signifies an important step forward in the cooperation between the two organizations. Under the updated agreement, Fiji Airways will provide discounts to support all FHTA members in participating in international tourism roadshows and trade events.
In exchange, Fiji Airways will benefit from similar advantages from the hotel partners involved with FHTA. FHTA’s Chief Executive, Fantasha Lockington, remarked that renewing the MOU with Fiji Airways is a landmark achievement for both the association and the wider tourism sector. She stated, “By extending the benefits of this agreement to all our members, we are reinforcing our dedication to supporting every facet of our industry.”
Lockington expressed enthusiasm for continuing their collaboration with Fiji Airways and exploring new opportunities to advance the tourism sector. Fiji Airways’ CEO and Managing Director, Andre Viljoen, shared that the renewed MOU would bolster their partnership and provide valuable benefits to all members. “We’re excited to strengthen our collaboration and continue contributing to the growth of Fiji’s tourism industry,” he noted.
The renewed agreement will offer FHTA members improved opportunities for collaboration, promotional initiatives, and mutual assistance.
