Fiji aims to leverage its home advantage as the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches continue this month in Suva.
As match day three nears, Coach Rob Sherman and his team are preparing to make a strong effort to reach the semi-finals, scheduled to take place in New Zealand in early 2025.
Sherman is feeling positive about the team’s chances, having retained most of the players from earlier this year.
“We had a couple of friendly matches in the September window, so we’ve been consistently working with the team throughout the year,” he stated.
“In terms of preparation for the qualifiers, things have gone quite well, so I’m reasonably happy with the progress we’ve made,” Sherman added.
