Fans attending the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season opener between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika will be granted the opportunity to step onto the field at Churchill Park right after the final whistle. This announcement, made by the Drua franchise, marks a significant change from past seasons where fans were not allowed to access the pitch post-match.

This new initiative aims to enhance the match-day experience for fans at the Drua’s home venue. By allowing supporters to connect more closely with the players they cheer for, this change adds a unique layer of excitement to what has been referred to as the “Battle of the Pacific.”

As fans make their way to the stadium, anticipation is building for a full day of rugby action. Currently, the Fijian Drua Development side is competing against the Australian Fijian Rugby Union team, with the main event featuring the Drua and Moana Pasifika scheduled for 3:35 PM. All the action will be broadcast live on FBC Sports, promising an exhilarating start to the Super Rugby season.

This move not only fosters a sense of community between players and fans but also enhances the overall atmosphere of the event, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
