Former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has been questioned and subsequently released from the CID Headquarters this evening.
Lawyer Devanesh Sharma stated that they are unable to make any comments at this time.
Police Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa confirmed that Sayed-Khaiyum is being questioned regarding allegations of abuse of office related to his tenure as the Minister for Aviation and Attorney General between 2018 and 2022.
