Extra Supermarket Labasa and Lincoln Rewa will face off in the final of the 2025 Extra Battle of the Giants after both teams secured thrilling victories in the semi-finals at Subrail Park. Labasa, the favorites and home team, narrowly defeated River Tubing Fiji/Classic Travel Tours and Rentals Navua with a lone goal, courtesy of Anish Khem, who scored in extra time to clinch the match 1-0.

The Labasa coach, Alvin Chand, praised his team’s determination and hard work, stating, “It’s all because of their hard work. If they had not given everything in the game, the result would not have been in our favor.” This victory sets the stage for an exciting final, with Labasa’s fans expected to rally immensely in support.

In the other semi-final, Lincoln Rewa showcased their formidable skills as they dominated 2024 champions Paradise Seafood Supplies Lautoka with an emphatic 6-0 win. Rewa’s performance was clinical, bolstered by stellar contributions from players such as Setareki Hughes and John Orobulu, who each scored twice. Hughes’ exceptional play earned him the title of player of the match.

Rewa has maintained a clean sheet throughout the tournament, a testament to their strong defensive strategy. As both teams prepare for the final at 3 PM today, the Fiji Football Association anticipates a massive turnout, with over 6,500 fans attending the semi-finals.
