The Fiji Football Association, in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), is set to conduct a weeklong grassroots coaching course to promote women’s football in Fiji. Timo Jankowski, the Technical Director of Fiji FA, emphasized that this initiative provides a valuable opportunity for local coaches to gain insights from KNVB’s esteemed coach education programs. He remarked, “KNVB is recognized globally for their high-level coach education, and having them involved marks a significant step forward in developing football in Fiji.” The course, scheduled from October 7 to 11 at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba, will train 33 coaches, including 31 Fijians from various backgrounds such as primary school teachers, players, and district coaches, as well as two participants from Tuvalu.
