The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Wives and Mothers Club is expanding its Tutorial and Revision Program to provide support for a greater number of children from military families across Fiji this year. This initiative has been significantly bolstered by a generous sponsorship of $20,000 from the Chinese Embassy.

The launch of the program took place at St. Agnes Primary School in Nabua, where Chinese Ambassador Zhou Jian highlighted the sponsorship as a testament to China’s commitment to education and its respect for the contributions made by Fiji’s military families. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the academic support being offered, emphasizing that education is a key driver for national development.

This expanded program will operate across the Central, Western, and Northern divisions of Fiji. Its goal is to enhance academic performance among children of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) personnel through structured tutorials and revision assistance.

The RFMF Wives and Mothers Club expressed that this expansion reflects their ongoing dedication to uplifting military families through educational initiatives. Similar efforts to support military families have been noted in previous articles, emphasizing the importance of community and support structures within the military context. For instance, events like the Territorial Force Wives and Mothers Tournament aim to recognize and enhance the support for military families, showcasing ongoing efforts to promote wellness and camaraderie among service members’ families.

The collaborative nature of this initiative not only aims to improve academic performance but also signifies a hopeful commitment to nurturing the next generation and investing in their education, which is crucial for the future development of the country.
