Outdated and inconsistent education policies are undergoing significant revisions as the Education Ministry updates over twenty key frameworks aimed at enhancing school operations. These changes are designed to address long-standing deficiencies that have previously hampered the delivery of quality education.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro emphasized that many of the existing policies have either expired or are mismatched with current educational needs. He expressed that the revamped framework is expected to provide schools with clearer guidelines and heightened accountability measures.

“I think about 95 percent of the policies that are there need to be documented properly, particularly in areas like human resources, payroll, staff remuneration, school safety, and canteen policies,” Radrodro stated, highlighting the necessity for meticulous documentation or substantial updates to existing policies.

The Ministry of Education asserts that these updated policies are vital for ensuring that schools operate safely and consistently, with a strong focus on student-centered learning. As the education system continues to evolve in response to changing demands, these enhancements are poised to foster an environment conducive to improved educational outcomes, ultimately benefiting both students and educators.
