Three men were apprehended yesterday for drug-related offenses following distinct police operations conducted in Lautoka and Nadi.

In Lautoka, officers from the Police K-9 Unit detained a 26-year-old mechanic from Sabeto Central and a 32-year-old man residing on Duna Place, Nadi. During a routine search, authorities found two clear plastic bags containing a white substance suspected to be methamphetamine.

Simultaneously, a Public Service Vehicle driver from Cunningham was arrested after law enforcement discovered marijuana seedlings in his possession. A further search conducted at his home by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit and the Police K-9 Unit led to the recovery of more seedlings believed to be marijuana.

Currently, all three men are in police custody as investigations into the incidents are ongoing.

This situation highlights ongoing law enforcement efforts to combat illegal drug possession and trafficking. As investigations continue, there is hope for a safer community where drug-related activities are systematically addressed. The work of the police underscores their commitment to maintaining public safety.
