The Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua Women’s rugby team is set for an exhilarating rematch against the NSW Waratahs at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium in the opening round of the Smartech Business Systems Super Rugby Women competition. With Head Coach Ifereimi Rawaqa at the helm, the team has assembled a formidable lineup featuring both experienced players and six debutants, including Fijiana representatives Alfreda Fisher, Josivini Naihamu, and Alowesi Nakoci.
Captain Vika Matarugu, a seasoned player, will lead the team into battle as they aim to avenge their previous grand final loss against the Waratahs. Vitalina Naikore will serve as vice-captain, contributing her extensive experience to the squad. Matarugu is slated to play at tighthead prop, with Salanieta Nabuli on the loosehead side and Keleni Marawa as hooker.
