The Fijian Drua Blue team celebrated a significant victory by winning the inaugural Sun Bell Drua 10s title, defeating Fijian Drua Green with a score of 14-5 in an exciting final held at King Charles Park in Nadi. The match showcased the talents of impressive players like Emosi Tuqiri, Zuriel Togiatama, and Vilive Miramira among others from the Blue team.

On the opposing side, Drua Green featured notable athletes including John Muller and Mesu Dolokoto. The competition was fierce, with both teams facing strong provincial challengers throughout the tournament.

Malolo Rugby demonstrated their skills by securing victories in earlier matches but faced defeat against Drua Green and Drua Blue in the knockout stages. Drua Green also managed to edge past Nadroga in the semifinals with a close score of 12-7. One of the standout moments of the tournament was when Nadi Rugby pulled off a surprising upset by defeating Drua Green 5-0 in their final pool match.

Fijian Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson emphasized the tournament’s purpose, stating it was designed to provide players with essential game time against robust Skipper Cup teams. This opportunity not only enhances player performance but also helps in developing a deeper talent pool for future competitions.
