A tragic incident has occurred in Nadi, where a 16-year-old male student is believed to be the latest victim of drowning at the Narewa River. The tragedy unfolded yesterday morning while the teenager was swimming with friends. According to police reports, the young swimmer encountered difficulties in the water.
Despite the efforts of his friends who managed to pull him from the river and attempt resuscitation, their attempts were unsuccessful. The student was subsequently transported to Nadi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
