Devo Babas Set to Dominate at Marist 7s!

Devo Babas Aim for Glory in Marist 7s Showdown

The Viti Roofing Devo Babas are set to take the spotlight in the Fiji Bitter 7s series as they prepare for the final leg at the Marist 7s tournament, kicking off tomorrow. Having dominated the series thus far, the Babas recently claimed 75 bonus points by winning the Nawaka 7s tournament in Nadi. This victory reinforces their impressive performance throughout the season, which also includes wins at the Wairiki, Labasa, Savusavu, and Tabadamu tournaments, ensuring their top-ranking status.

The Devo Babas made their mark in the series during the Malake 7s in October, where they faced fierce competition, finishing as runners-up against Police Blues. However, they quickly bounced back with a series of strong performances, culminating in their recent cup victory over the BLK Lavidi Brothers in the Nawaka 7s final.

In the upcoming Marist 7s, the Babas are placed in Super Pool 2, where they will face tough contenders like SR Ubuntu, BLK Lavidi Brothers, and TEMC Warriors. Given their recent successes and the experience they’ve amassed, they enter the tournament as favorites, not only to win this leg but also to secure the overall championship for the Fiji Bitter series.

As the tournament unfolds, it promises to display the remarkable skill and determination of these athletes, fostering community spirit and pride among supporters. The excitement around the matches underscores the rich rugby culture in Fiji, with the Devo Babas serving as an inspiring force for players and fans alike.

With their recent victories and strong fan support, there is a hopeful outlook for the Devo Babas as they aim to extend their winning streak and elevate the spirit of rugby across the nation. This quest not only brings excitement but also unites the community in celebrating their athletes’ achievements.
