Decades of Waiting: Mine Workers Finally Celebrate Payout

The president of the Fiji Mine Workers Union, Joseva Sadreu, reflected on the 33-year struggle for justice faced by union members. During the phase one payout presentation held on Saturday, Sadreu stated that the $10,000 payout was highly anticipated, particularly for members who have since passed away. “It was not easy being on this journey, waiting for what was promised 33 years ago,” he remarked.
