Cuvu College’s Underdogs Aim for Glory in Rugby Semi-Finals!

The Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team continues to focus on enhancing their performance, particularly in the scrums. Assistant coach Samisoni Navatu shared this insight following their narrow 23-22 victory over Ratu Kadavulevu School, which has been considered a favorite for the Vodafone Deans Trophy, in the quarterfinals.

Navatu expressed that there is still potential for improvement despite the team’s impressive win. He described the match as a tough encounter and attributed their success to divine intervention. “Glory to God for this win. We came here with the goal to win and we achieved that. Credit to the boys for a job well done,” he said.

The assistant coach also noted a mix-up regarding the final score, where officials initially declared RKS as the winner. “We were relieved when the decision was reversed, but the job is not done yet. Some of our boys are still 17 while others are 18, but they managed to pull through,” he added.

Navatu is urging their dedicated fans to show up in large numbers to support the team in their upcoming semi-final against Nasinu Secondary School scheduled for Saturday.
