The Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team is focused on enhancing their performance, particularly in scrums. This was shared by assistant coach Samisoni Navatu in an interview yesterday.
Despite their narrow 23-22 victory over the favored Ratu Kadavulevu School in the quarterfinals of the Vodafone Deans Trophy, Navatu acknowledged the need for further improvement. He described the match as a challenging encounter and expressed gratitude for the win, stating, “Glory to God for this win. We came here with the goal to win and we did that. Credit to the boys for a job well done.”
Navatu also noted some confusion regarding the final score when officials initially announced RKS as the victor. “We were happy when the decision was reversed but the job is not done yet. Some of our boys in the team are still 17-year-olds while some are 18, but they managed to make it work,” he added.
He is urging their dedicated fans to show their support in large numbers for the upcoming semi-final against Nasinu Secondary School on Saturday.
