The Miss Cakaudrove Youth pageant is set to take place this Friday at Narain Park in Savusavu, where the winner will receive a stunning crown crafted from 59 pearls. According to Aubrey Whippy, the carnival coordinator for the Cakaudrove Multi-Ethnic Youth and Sports Festival, there are 14 young women competing for the Miss Cakaudrove Youth and Miss Charity titles, representing diverse backgrounds from 12 different districts, including Rabi Island and Kailoma.

The festivities will kick off today with a parade starting at 10 AM from the Savusavu Court House to Narain Park. The grand closing ceremony is scheduled for Friday, featuring the crowning events beginning at 7 PM, with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka as the chief guest.

Mr. Whippy expressed appreciation for J Hunter Pearls for creating the exquisite crown and Shane Bower for donating the crown for Miss Charity. The event promises a full day and night of activities over a span of four days, with proceeds from the program directed towards youth development initiatives in Cakaudrove. Entry to the park will be free, marking this as the inaugural event organized by the Cakaudrove Youth Provincial Council.

This pageant not only highlights the beauty and talent of its contestants but also emphasizes the importance of community and youth empowerment, fostering pride and a sense of purpose among participants and spectators alike.
