A trial has been scheduled for next year for Walter Fong, who faces a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. His attorney, Jiten Reddy, represents him in this case. Fong is accused of possessing 0.0212 grams of methamphetamine in Lami on August 7 of this year. He has pleaded not guilty, and his trial is set to begin on July 30.

Additionally, three other individuals are facing charges related to the unlawful importation of methamphetamine and are scheduled for a pre-trial conference on March 17 next year. Michael Malik Mudaliar and Sujeet Kumar, also represented by Jiten Reddy, are charged with unlawfully importing a substantial volume of 8.502 liters of liquid methamphetamine, amounting to 8.3214kg. This incident is said to have taken place in Nadi between May 12 and May 18 of the previous year. Their co-accused, Alvin Kumar, faces charges of aiding and abetting this importation.

The legal process continues to unfold as the relevant authorities focus on tackling drug-related crimes in the region.

This situation serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges posed by drug-related offenses and the importance of the legal system in addressing these issues. It is hopeful that through these proceedings, justice will be served and contribute to safer communities.

In summary, Walter Fong is set for trial on meth possession next July, while three others face pre-trial discussions in March regarding substantial drug importation charges.
