Two individuals, previously on bail connected to a significant 4.1-ton methamphetamine seizure in Nadi, are currently evading law enforcement. A bench warrant was issued for their arrest today, prompting police to seek public assistance in locating them.

Authorities are on the lookout for Cathy Tuirabe, also known as Catherine Tuirabe Vakacegu Bainisavu, a 31-year-old woman from Lowcost, Votualevu in Nadi. She is described as having a slim build and a fair complexion. The second individual, Viliame Colowaliku, nicknamed Bill, is 37 years old and hails from Raralevu, Nausori. He has a brown complexion and is identifiable by several tattoos, including one on his neck that reads “Patience W attitude” and others on his left arm that say “Nacobua” and “Carpe Diem.”

Police urge anyone with information regarding the location of Tuirabe and Colowaliku to reach out to their nearest police station.

This incident highlights the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in combating the drug trade, particularly with individuals circumventing legal processes. However, the announcement also demonstrates the community’s role in public safety, reminding residents that their vigilance can aid in maintaining a safer environment.

In a positive light, this situation creates an opportunity for increased community engagement and awareness around drug-related issues, fostering cooperation between the public and law enforcement in the fight against illicit activities.
