The three political parties in Government remain strong and united since forming the Coalition after the 2022 General Election.
Speaking outside Parliament today, National Federation Party Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad stated that he met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka this morning, reaffirming their support for the Coalition Government.
“The Prime Minister has made it clear that he has already had the meeting with some of the independent MPs, who have shown their support for the Prime Minister,” Prof Prasad said.
“They will remain independent MPs from the Opposition Side, who support the Government,” he added.
Prof Prasad emphasized that the focus is on passing the 2024-2025 National Budget and delivering for the Fijian people.
“We are surprised with the support it is getting from people,” he noted.
