Manchester City continued to apply pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal with a decisive 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace. This win keeps Pep Guardiola’s team just two points behind Arsenal, poised for a potential top spot takeover.

In other matches, Aston Villa came from behind to secure a thrilling 3-2 win at West Ham United, remaining in contention for the title. Nottingham Forest also delivered a strong performance, defeating a struggling Tottenham Hotspur side 3-0, marking their fourth victory in six league matches.

Sunderland celebrated a hard-fought 1-0 home victory over Newcastle United, claiming local derby honors in their first league matchup in nearly a decade. Meanwhile, Leeds United edged three points clear of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw against Brentford.

At Selhurst Park, Erling Haaland was the standout performer for Manchester City, scoring two goals while Phil Foden added another. City now sits at 34 points, maintaining their pursuit of Arsenal, who narrowly secured a 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers thanks to two own goals.

Haaland opened the scoring just before halftime with a powerful header from Matheus Nunes’ cross. Foden extended the lead with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box in the 69th minute. The match was capped off when Haaland converted a penalty after being fouled by Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Guardiola praised Haaland’s all-around contribution, stating, “Erling is a forward to score the goals but in the second half he keeps the ball. He was able to contain situations. He helped us be together. In the second half he was outstanding.”

As the competition intensifies, Manchester City’s performance continues to demonstrate their determination in the title race, making for an exciting remainder of the season.
