In response to inquiries about the reshuffle and reports concerning Home Affairs Minister Pio Tikoduadua, Rabuka clarified that Tikoduadua is not under investigation for drug-related issues. He emphasized that the Minister’s temporary step aside is due to ongoing investigations related specifically to the Department of Immigration.
As a result of this situation, Rabuka will be taking over the responsibilities of both the Department of Immigration and the Fiji Police Force. Tikoduadua will continue to serve as the Minister for Defence, overseeing the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and Veterans’ Affairs.
