BULA Football Club’s interim chief executive officer, Anushil Kumar, is urging fans to have faith in the team’s journey as they prepare to kick off their inaugural season in the prestigious OFC Professional League this Saturday. With the excitement building, Kumar addressed growing criticism, highlighting the need for supportive encouragement from their fanbase.

Recognizing the high expectations fans hold for the team, Kumar emphasized the importance of trust in their process. “Definitely, expectations from the fans are really high, but all I want to say is trust the process, keep supporting the boys, and keep us in your prayers,” Kumar stated. He acknowledged the value of constructive criticism, noting that positive feedback and motivation from fans would be immensely appreciated as the team gears up for the challenges ahead.

To ensure the players are mentally prepared for the season, the club has conducted indoor sessions to help them cope with the pressures that come with competing at this level. “All the players are on social media, and when they see the posts, they really get mentally affected. We did have indoor sessions, to mentally prepare the boys as well, so all we need from the fans is good support,” Kumar explained.

Support from fans will be particularly vital as BULA faces Vanuatu United FC, a team that, despite experiencing a management crisis, boasts a strong lineup. Notable players include former Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Matthew Acton, along with New Zealand standouts Otto Ingham and Owen Smith in the attack. Vanuatu United also features skilled local players like Alex Saniel and Azariah Soromon, who have previous experience with Suva football and are expected to make an impact during the match.

The highly anticipated clash will take place at the iconic Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand, at 2 PM. As the team embarks on this new chapter, the hope is that fans will rally behind them, creating a supportive atmosphere that can propel BULA FC to success in this exciting league.
