Bula FC’s head coach, Stephane Auvray, has expressed optimism about his team’s progress as they gear up for their upcoming tour of New Zealand. The focus of their intense training regimen has been on enhancing fitness, endurance, and athleticism, with sessions designed to push players to their limits.
Auvray noted that the team has been undergoing demanding training schedules, often featuring two sessions a day. These workouts combine rigorous fitness exercises with tactical drills and ball work. “We have been running a lot. We are working on endurance so the players can have good athleticism,” Auvray explained.
While acknowledging the challenges of the workload, he remains confident that the players will adapt and see positive results in the months ahead. “They are adapting. They are tired because they are not used to this rhythm of work. The running is painful for them, but I explained it will pay back by February and March,” Auvray added.
Despite the difficulty of the training, Auvray has noted a commendable level of resistance and commitment from the players. “So far so good. I have to give them a few reminders, but I am still satisfied,” he remarked about the team’s attitude.
Additionally, the coach praised the integration of foreign players into the squad, highlighting their contributions to the team’s professionalism. “They are blending in very well and they are very welcome. I want them to bring professionalism, and we are getting to that professionalism,” he concluded.
With a structured training plan and a positive team spirit, Bula FC is building a strong foundation for their future matches, showing promise and dedication as they prepare for their international competition.
