BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) has recently completed a significant community project at Koroqaqa Primary School in Baulevu, Naitasiri, aimed at enhancing the educational experience for students. The initiative, backed by BSP’s Thomson St and Samabula branches, has resulted in infrastructure upgrades that improve access to hygienic facilities.
The project has introduced three new toilet blocks, with one specifically designed to include a shower facility, catering to students involved in after-school sports activities. Furthermore, the kindergarten complex received essential maintenance and upgrades, including the addition of new cabinets, sinks, and a renovated indoor toilet block. A new water tank accompanied by three hand basins was also installed to bolster hygiene standards.
During the handover ceremony, BSP general manager of retail, Ravindra Singh, emphasized the school’s importance to the local community, stating, “Koroqaqa Primary School plays a vital role in shaping the future of children across Baulevu, Koroqaqa, Udalia, Wainisasa, and neighboring areas.” He highlighted BSP’s commitment to investing in projects that create safe and supportive learning environments.
Recognizing the collective effort behind the initiative, Mr. Singh commended the dedication of BSP staff who volunteered their time and expertise to bring this project to fruition. Arvind Prasad, the headteacher of Koroqaqa Primary School, expressed profound gratitude for BSP’s generous support and commitment to education and community development.
Koroqaqa Primary School serves a total of 236 primary students and 20 kindergarten students, marking a positive impact on the educational landscape of the area.
