BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) has recently completed a significant community initiative at Koroqaqa Primary School in Baulevu, Naitasiri, aimed at enhancing the educational environment and providing improved hygienic facilities for students.

The initiative, led by BSP’s Thomson St and Samabula branches, involved the construction of three new toilet blocks, one of which includes a shower to support students engaged in after-school sports activities. Additionally, there were maintenance upgrades and renovations completed on the kindergarten complex, which featured new cabinets, sinks, and an updated indoor toilet block. The installation of a water tank equipped with three hand basins also forms part of this project.

During the handover ceremony, BSP general manager for retail, Ravindra Singh, emphasized the importance of Koroqaqa Primary School in nurturing the future of young people in Baulevu and surrounding neighborhoods. He expressed pride in the bank’s commitment to investing in projects that ensure students have access to safe, clean, and supportive learning environments, especially in remote areas. Singh also acknowledged the dedication of BSP employees who volunteered their time and expertise to make this effort successful.

Headteacher Arvind Prasad shared his gratitude toward BSP for their generous support and ongoing commitment to both educational advancement and community development, highlighting the positive impact this initiative will have on the school.

Koroqaqa Primary School serves 236 primary students and 20 kindergarten students, marking a significant contribution to the educational landscape in the region.

This initiative highlights the importance of community partnerships in empowering students and improving educational facilities, a hopeful reminder that dedicated efforts can lead to meaningful change in children’s lives.
