BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) has recently completed an important community project for Koroqaqa Primary School located in Baulevu, Naitasiri. The initiative focused on upgrading the school’s infrastructure to enhance the learning environment and provide access to hygienic facilities for its students.

The project was led by the BSP branches in Thomson St and Samabula, resulting in the construction of three new toilet blocks. Notably, one of these blocks includes a shower facility, which will benefit students who participate in after-school sports programs, as highlighted in a statement from the bank.

Additionally, the project involved significant maintenance and upgrades to the kindergarten complex. This included the installation of new cabinets, sinks, and a renovated indoor toilet block. A water tank along with three hand basins was also installed, further improving the school’s facilities.

During the hand-over ceremony, BSP’s General Manager Retail, Ravindra Singh, emphasized the school’s role in shaping the future of the surrounding communities, including Baulevu, Koroqaqa, Udalia, and Wainisasa. He expressed pride in the bank’s commitment to investing in projects that provide students with safe and supportive learning environments, despite the school’s remote location. Mr. Singh also recognized the contributions of BSP staff, who volunteered their time and skills to make this project a reality.

The headteacher of Koroqaqa Primary School, Arvind Prasad, expressed sincere gratitude to BSP for their generous support and commitment to education and community development. Koroqaqa Primary School currently serves 236 primary students and 20 kindergarten students.

This initiative not only highlights BSP’s dedication to enhancing educational facilities but also showcases the positive impact of community partnerships aimed at fostering a better learning atmosphere for future generations.

In summary, BSP’s investment in Koroqaqa Primary School reflects a broader commitment to community development, education, and the well-being of children in the region. Such efforts are essential in building a brighter future for the communities they serve.
