A violent incident outside a well-known nightclub in Suva has resulted in six individuals being hospitalized, with two of them currently in an unconscious state. Authorities from the police have reported that these two individuals are receiving medical care at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, alongside a third person who is said to be in a stable condition.
In addition, three more individuals involved in the altercation are being treated at the Sigatoka Hospital, where they are all reported to be stable as well. It has been suggested that some of those involved in the brawl are affiliated with a Rugby League club from Sigatoka, which held its awards night in Suva the previous evening.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has indicated that the police in the Central Division are actively investigating the matter and working to apprehend those responsible for the disturbance.
This incident raises concerns about public safety, especially in areas where celebrations may lead to unintended violence. However, it is encouraging to see that law enforcement is dedicated to addressing the situation and ensuring that those involved are held accountable.
