Bounty Rum, produced by Paradise Beverages, has been announced as the major sponsor for the third annual Stir It Up Fiji 2024 Music Festival, set to take place next month. This year’s festival will feature a new location at the VOU Hub in Denarau, a shift highlighted in a recent statement from the company.
Mike Spencer, general manager of Paradise Beverages, commented that the sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to supporting community events. “We have actively participated in various community initiatives, such as the Fiji Bitter 7s Series Tournaments and fashion shows. By sponsoring this remarkable music festival, we are elevating our support for the vital music industry,” Spencer stated.
Bounty Rum, which has held the title of the “Spirit of the South Pacific” since its inception in 1980, is made from high-quality sugar and exceptional water. This commitment has earned the brand numerous accolades, including a recent Gold medal at the 2024 International Wine and Spirits Competition.
The festival, organized by the Wailoaloa Beach Club, will showcase popular international artists, such as DJ Noiz, Kenyon Brown, Binna Butta, and Donelle Brown. Festival organizer Lara Khan expressed enthusiasm about the new venue, stating, “Relocating to the VOU Hub demonstrates our dedication to enhancing the festival experience. While we cherished the last two years at our previous location, we look forward to what the new venue will bring.”
Khan noted that the increasing popularity of Stir It Up Fiji necessitated a larger space to accommodate more attendees and offer a wider variety of activities. “The VOU Hub provides an ideal setting for this growth, allowing us to continue delivering an outstanding festival experience,” she added.
