Zeg Boxing Promotions has locked in its first major card of the year for 28 March at Suva’s Vodafone Arena, confirming ten bouts that will culminate in an international title fight headlined by Fiji’s Junior Binnu Singh. The 10-round, three-minute-per-round main event will pit the reigning WBA Oceania Interim Super Bantamweight champion against India’s Varun Phartyal for the vacant PBCNZ South Pacific Super Bantamweight title.

The announcement marks the latest development in a busy regional boxing calendar and gives Binnu a shot to add a South Pacific title to his WBA Oceania credentials. Varun Phartyal, travelling from India, provides an international test in what organisers bill as a high-stakes, 10-round showdown for the vacant regional crown.

The main supporting attraction will see welterweight campaigner Ratu Raukuro Dauivavana square off with Rohit Chauhan. Chauhan arrives in Suva with momentum after a dominant showing against Filise Nabua on the previous Zeg-sponsored card, a performance promoters say established him as a rising name in the Fijian scene. That supporting fight will add depth to a card stacked with experienced local and visiting boxers.

Promoters have confirmed the remainder of the ten-bout card, with each contest listed by rounds and duration. Kaliova Tahikia meets Sonny Morini in an eight-round (3-minute) welterweight contest, while Amandeep Singh will make his Fijian debut in a six-round heavyweight fight against Kimo Vakalalabure. In the minimumweight ranks, Aarti Hooda returns to Fiji for an eight-round contest (two-minute rounds) against Ema Nesbit.

Other match-ups include Isimeli Dautokidavui versus Kyan Hand at super middleweight in a five-round (3-minute) bout, and a four-round (3-minute) heavyweight contest pitting an experienced veteran against Isaia Raqila. Fiji’s Krishnil Mudalliar is scheduled to face Shane Hazelman in a six-round (3-minute) bout, while light heavyweight Robin Hazelman will take on Nikesh Prasad over six rounds (3 minutes). The card also features Samuela Naqari challenging Isikeli Senidoko in a six-round (3-minute) contest for the BCA Super Middleweight title.

Zeg Boxing Promotions has positioned the Vodafone Arena show as an action-packed night of boxing for both local supporters and regional fans. The mix of title fights, debut appearances and domestic rivalries gives the event significance beyond a single card — it is an opportunity for fighters to climb regional rankings and for the promotion to build on the momentum from earlier shows where local talent, such as Rohit Chauhan, made strong impressions.

With the bouts now confirmed, attention will switch to final fight preparations and licensing ahead of the March 28 card. The announced line-up underscores Zeg’s intent to stage high-profile, regionally relevant match-ups in Suva as the local boxing scene continues to grow.
