Big Night in Nadi: Title Fights and Family Rivalries Await!

Winston Hill, the IBO Asia Pacific super welterweight champion, is prepared to take on Australia’s Lachlan O’Shea in the main event tonight at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park. During the official weigh-in, Hill weighed in at 68.45 kilograms, while O’Shea came in at 69.8 kilograms.

In addition to his own fight, Hill’s brother, Jonathan Hill, will compete against Siliveni Nawai for the Fiji super middleweight title in one of the undercard matches. Hill expressed his determination, saying, “We are ready to dominate our fights as we have been spending a long time together in camp.” He looks forward to the event, noting the excitement of big titles on the line and the presence of well-known personalities like Sonny Bill Williams.

In another featured match, Sebastian ‘The Sniper’ Singh expressed confidence in his chances of winning the IBO Asia Pacific cruiserweight title against Australia’s Tonga Tongotongo. Singh weighed in at 89.75 kilograms, while Tongotongo weighed 87.55 kilograms. Singh remarked on the hard work leading up to this fight and emphasized his eagerness to get the job done, though he refrained from making any specific predictions.

Siliveni Nawai, the current Fiji super middleweight titleholder, weighed in at 75.5 kilograms, while Jonathan Hill was at 74.8 kilograms. Nawai, known as “Hands of Stone,” stated, “I have prepped for this fight and I’ll await what Hill has in store for me.”
