With the increasing cost of living, many parents are adjusting their shopping habits to ensure their children are well-prepared for the upcoming school term. One such parent, Ashwini Ram, was out shopping with her son Arush, emphasizing the importance of finding good value for their money.

“Today I started my shopping at different shops, looking for the cheapest options,” she shared, noting that prices have become quite steep.

Tasked with equipping her two children with all their school supplies, Ms. Ram has adopted a thorough shopping strategy to ensure that nothing essential is overlooked. “I have two children, so I have to do the shopping. I plan to buy all my son’s books, shoes, clothes, and my daughter’s items as well,” she explained.

In an effort to counter the stress associated with dwindling stock and rising prices, Ms. Ram encourages other families to take initiative and avoid the traditional rush that typically occurs in late January. “I don’t think parents should wait for the last minute. They should do their shopping on time,” she advised.

As families navigate these financial challenges, proactive planning and early shopping can help alleviate some of the burden and ensure that children are prepared for the school year ahead, fostering a smoother transition into the new academic season.
