The Ministry of Finance has distributed $42.9 million in Back-to-School Support for the upcoming 2025 school year, benefiting a total of 212,017 students to date.

However, some parents faced challenges in receiving their payments during the initial batch due to various application issues. Common concerns included incorrect or unregistered mobile numbers, inaccurate birth registration details, or incomplete application forms. Additionally, some parents are still awaiting confirmation of Year 13 enrollment, which has contributed to the delays.

To address these issues efficiently, the Ministry of Finance is working closely with the Ministry of Education. They are actively resolving the application discrepancies to ensure that every eligible student receives their support.

Four additional payment batches have already been completed, and a final payment round is planned after all pending applications are addressed. This collaborative effort aims to streamline the process and provide support to all affected families, ensuring that students are adequately prepared for their educational journey ahead.

Overall, this initiative represents a significant financial commitment to supporting students and their families, highlighting the government’s dedication to education and equity.
