The Ba/Tavua/Ra Secondary Schools Rugby League Zone is set to host its third round of matches today at Theodore Park in Vatukoula. Zone coordinator David Wise has confirmed that today’s games are vital for the teams as they gear up for the Western playoffs scheduled for next week.

“This round is a do-or-die for all schools. Next week will feature the playoffs and Western zone quarterfinals, which are slated for Week 8 of the school term,” Wise stated, emphasizing the importance of today’s matches.

In the U19 grade, there are five competing teams within the Western zone. According to Wise, these schools will participate in a round-robin format, with the top two teams earning a spot in the national quarterfinals in Suva.

Today’s highlight will be the match-up between the West U19 champion, Ba Provincial Secondary School, and the national champion, Ra High School. This encounter promises to be an exciting showdown as both teams aim to solidify their positions ahead of the playoffs.
