Ba Football’s Future: Can Youth Rally the Once-Dominant Men in Black?

Ba FA President Azam Ali has stated that the senior men’s team is still evolving under the guidance of Timoci Seru, who has taken charge over the past two weeks.

“Timoci Seru has been part of the coaching team for a significant period, and I am pleased with his debut match leading the team against Navua,” Ali remarked.

He noted that the away match against Navua is always a tough challenge, but the players performed admirably, resulting in a draw.

Despite this, recent performances have sparked concerns among fans and analysts. The previously dominant Men in Black have faced difficulties in reproducing their past success, with inconsistency being a major issue.

Ali recognized this feedback, affirming that the team considers the opinions of critics.

Looking ahead, Ba plans to field their youth players in their upcoming match against Nadroga this weekend during DFPL Round 14, with hopes of achieving favorable results.

Ba will host Nadroga at the Fiji FA Ba Academy Grounds on Sunday at 3 PM.
