Ba Football Team Faces Critics as They Embrace Youth for Upcoming Match

The President of the Ba Football Association, Azam Ali, has stated that the senior men’s team is still a work in progress under head coach Timoci Seru, who has been leading the squad for the past two weeks.

“Timoci Seru has been part of the coaching panel for an extended period, and I am pleased with his guidance in the team’s first match against Navua,” said Ali. He noted that playing away against Navua is always a challenge, but he was proud of how the team performed, resulting in a draw.

Despite this, Ba’s recent performances have raised concerns among both supporters and critics. The once-dominant team has struggled to regain its former success, grappling with consistency issues. Ali acknowledged these worries, emphasizing that the team’s management is attentive to the feedback from critics.

Looking ahead, Ba will field its youth players against Nadroga this weekend in the DFPL Round 14, with hopes of achieving the desired results. The match will take place at the Fiji FA Ba Academy Grounds on Sunday at 3 PM.
