Ba FC clinched their inaugural victory of the Extra Premier League season with an impressive 3-0 triumph over Lautoka at the Fiji FA Academy. After a series of four difficult matches, Ba entered this contest with a determination to change their luck.

The first half concluded without any goals, as both teams struggled to make their mark. However, the second half saw Ba return to the field with renewed vigor. The breakthrough for Ba came in the 69th minute when Penisoni Tirau scored from the penalty spot, giving the home side a 1-0 lead. Following this, Peceli Sukabula swiftly added to their advantage, bringing the score to 2-0. The situation for Lautoka worsened when Sitiveni Cavuilagi received a red card, leaving his team with ten players. Ba solidified their win in the 84th minute, as Penaia Nagatalevu expertly chipped the ball over Lautoka’s goalkeeper, Isikeli Seva, finalizing the score at 3-0.

Additionally, it’s noteworthy that Ba previously faced a tough loss to Lautoka, where they were defeated 4-2 in a prior encounter. This recent triumph reflects Ba’s resilience and improvement, exhibiting their capacity for bouncing back. Such a victory could signal a turning point in their season, boosting morale and encouraging further successes in future matches. The win not only provides much-needed confidence for Ba FC but also showcases their potential as the league progresses.
