Australia triumphed in the Over 50s category of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup held in Sydney, securing a 1-0 victory against Viti Boys Canada in a thrilling final. Vinesh Kumar scored the decisive goal in the second half.
Kumar was also honored with the Golden Ball Award, while Australia’s goalkeeper Manoj Kumar received the Golden Glove. Jitendra Nair from Viti Boys Canada earned the Golden Boot after scoring five goals throughout the tournament.
In other results, NZ Lautoka claimed the Over 45 title by defeating NZ Nadroga 3-1.
