Provisional data from the Fiji Bureau of Statistics reveals that visitor arrivals in November 2025 reached a total of 77,963. This figure represents an 11.7 percent decrease compared to the previous month, October 2025, when Fiji welcomed 88,255 visitors.
Australia continues to be the leading source of tourists to Fiji, contributing 38,227 arrivals, which equates to 49 percent of the total. New Zealand follows as the second-largest market with 14,395 visitors, accounting for 18.5 percent, while the United States ranks third with 9,211 arrivals, making up 11.8 percent. Other notable markets include Continental Europe, with 2,828 visitors, China at 2,092, Canada with 1,808, and the United Kingdom sending 991 visitors.
In terms of transportation, the majority of visitors to Fiji arrived by air, totaling 77,105, while 858 made their way via sea. Among those arriving by sea, most were seamen on fishing vessels, with 753 arrivals, and an additional 105 guests arrived by yacht.
The primary purpose for visiting Fiji remains holiday travel, with 79.5 percent of tourists coming for vacation. In contrast, 8 percent visited for the purpose of seeing friends or relatives, 2.4 percent traveled for business, and the remaining 10.1 percent arrived for other motivations.
This continuing trend of holidaymakers visiting Fiji highlights the country’s enduring appeal as a vacation destination, particularly as more travelers from Australia and New Zealand seek to explore the beauty of the islands. The data reflects the resilience of the tourism sector, and with efforts to attract visitors from diverse markets, the outlook for Fiji’s tourism industry remains optimistic.
