The Australia Day Vuvale Bootcamp and Sports Clinic held at Albert Park in Suva was a resounding success, attracting a large crowd eager to engage in a day filled with fitness and fun. Participants began the day with energizing warm-ups, preparing them for a variety of sports and celebratory activities.

Representatives from several sporting organizations, including the Fiji Football Association, Fiji Rugby, Cricket Fiji, Fiji National Rugby League, Netball Fiji, and FASANOC, were present to connect with the community and promote active participation in the day’s events.

The Sports Clinic offered an array of games, music, food, and giveaways suitable for all ages and fitness levels, ensuring there was no shortage of activities to enjoy. Colonel Henry Stimson, the Australian defense advisor to Fiji, praised the collaboration with Fasanoc and the various Fijian sporting entities for their efforts in organizing the Vuvale Bootcamp.

Stimson highlighted the goals of the event, which included promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering community engagement through fitness activities and team-building exercises. “We have been privileged to be joined by Fasanoc and a number of Fiji sporting agents, and all organizations to bring the community together and just have some fun,” he stated. He emphasized that the Vuvale Bootcamp is designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle and occurs multiple times throughout the year. Stimson noted, “It is our way to give back to the community, sharing insights on how to stay fit and healthy.”
