The NZFFI Auckland All Stars, the defending champions, have secured their spot in the grand final of the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup. They achieved this after a commanding 2-0 victory against local team Lautoka in the first semifinal held at Churchill Park earlier today.

The match saw Auckland All Stars score two critical goals in the second half, with strikers James Hoyt and Mohammed Nabeel finding the back of the net. The team, under the guidance of coach Josaia Bukalidi, showcased their skill and determination, demonstrating why they are the reigning champions.

Lautoka did have a moment of hope early in the match, with striker Sairusi Nalaubu almost scoring in the 27th minute. He attempted to chip the ball over Auckland’s goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara, but unfortunately, his attempt hit the cross-bar and went out.

As they prepare for the grand final, the Auckland All Stars will face the winner of the semifinal clash between the USA All Stars and the Manukau All Stars, which is scheduled for 3 PM today. This sets the stage for an exciting conclusion to the tournament.

This victory not only reflects the team’s hard work and dedication but also reinforces their status as formidable contenders in the Pacific Community Cup. Fans eagerly await to see if they can capture the title once again.

The Auckland All Stars are showing resilience and strength, promising an exciting final ahead as they aim to defend their championship title.
