The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) is encouraging students to take prompt action by registering and submitting their scholarship applications ahead of the January 31 deadline. With the application period for the 2026 academic year now open, processing began on January 5.

TSLS advises students to submit their applications fully completed as soon as they receive their final offer letters from higher education institutions, emphasizing that provisional offer letters will not be accepted for assessment. Scholarships are allocated based on academic merit until the quotas for each scheme are filled, although some may require interviews or aptitude tests for consideration.

Furthermore, students who do not secure a scholarship in their preferred scheme may still find opportunities in alternative scholarship programs. The application process is conducted online via the official TSLS portal, and assistance is available at TSLS offices located in Suva, Lautoka, Nadi, and Labasa.

TSLS highlights that early and thorough application submissions significantly enhance the likelihood of being considered for scholarships, promoting a proactive approach among students preparing for their higher education pursuits.
