All Blacks Unveil New Lineup Against Japan: What to Expect?

Fiji-born All Blacks winger Sevu Reece is set to start against Japan on Saturday, taking his position on the left wing. This match holds special significance for longtime Blues player Patrick Tuipulotu, who will captain the All Blacks for the first time in his international career. Peter Lakai and Ruben Love have been named in the reserves and could make their debuts.

The All Blacks’ front row will feature Tamaiti Williams, Asafo Aumua, and Pasilio Tosi. In the locks, Sam Darry will partner with Tuipulotu. On the flanks, Samipeni Finau and Vice Captain Sam Cane will be featured, with Wallace Sititi positioned at number 8.

Cam Roigard will make his first start at scrum-half, while Damien McKenzie will take the role of flyhalf. Mark Tele’a will join Reece on the wings, and the midfield pairing will consist of Anton Lienert-Brown and Billy Proctor, with Stephen Perofeta starting at fullback.

Covering the forwards from the bench will be George Bell, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Fletcher Newell, Josh Lord, and Lakai, while TJ Perenara, David Havili, and Love will provide backup for the backline. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5:50 PM at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama.
