Leader of the Opposition in Fiji, Inia Seruiratu, has reiterated his party’s dedication to creating a society where understanding, respect, and collaboration transcend cultural and belief differences.

In a statement made on the occasion of International Day of Human Fraternity, Seruiratu emphasized the importance of recommitting to these values. He called on all Fijians to celebrate their shared humanity and recognize that their diversity serves as a source of strength.

“This day calls upon all Fijians to celebrate our shared humanity and to recognize that our diversity is our source of strength,” he stated. He highlighted the need for embracing dialogue and mutual respect as essential paths towards achieving peace, unity, and a hopeful future for everyone.

Furthermore, Seruiratu urged the citizens to work together in fostering a culture of fraternity that uplifts individuals, respects their dignity, and nurtures a society founded on justice and compassion.

This call to action not only emphasizes the significance of unity in a culturally diverse society but also presents an optimistic outlook for future collaborations among Fijians. By nurturing mutual respect and understanding, the hopes for a more harmonious society can become a reality.
