Lolohea Naitasi of Team Fiji has made history as the youngest Taekwondo competitor at the 2024 Paris Olympics. At just 17 years old, she received overwhelming support from her teammates and athletes from Oceania during her Olympic debut at Grande Palais in Paris.
Naitasi expressed that this was her best performance yet, following the advice of her coach, Master Ra, and fully enjoying the experience. Unfortunately, she was defeated by Julyana Alsadeq of Jordan, the world number five.
Having achieved the milestone of being one of the first athletes from Fiji to qualify for Taekwondo at the Olympics, Naitasi is now focused on aiming for a spot in the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
